Bai Yu, Zhu Yilong’s web drama Guardian releases first teaser

Guardian is an upcoming supernatural mystery web drama starring Bai Yu (Memory Lost) as the leader of the special investigations unit and Zhu Yilong (Border Town Prodigal) as a coldly logical professor who is later revealed to be the black robe messenger. Though BL (boy love) story lines are banned in drama land, at least the show is still giving us a healthy dose of brotherly love.

This is the fastest release of a teaser I have ever seen, and it actually looks really good. Daylight Ent deserves brownie points for using on-site recording (I’m hoping it stays in the final product, since most of the line reading is excellent) and a muted colour palette.

Eternal Wave 密战 is the movie remake of the 1958 action spy film of the same name (Chinese title: 永不消失的电波). In 1930s Shanghai, an anonymous telegraph leads the puppet government to an important underground meeting point and the death of a skilled Communist agent. Aaron Kwok (Peace Breaker) infiltrates the Kuomintang as a businessman from Chongqing to find the betrayer.
