Espionage thriller  The Message  风声 drama has released a second and much better trailer, with stylized shots and interwoven scenes to build up suspense.  Based on the acclaimed film of the same name, the drama tells the story of five suspected locked in a mansion trying to find out who among them is the murder of a Japanese official.     The series stars Xu Lu (Be With You), Janice Man (Love Weaves Through A Millennium 2), Zhao Lixin (The Rise of Phoenixes), Zhang Zhijian (In the Name of the People) and Tony Yang (Divas Hit the Road 2) as the leads.

Liu Yifei, Jing Boran’s upcoming romance drama gets official title, releases trailer

The trailer for supernatural Republican romance drama The Love of Hypnosis (previously Records of Nanyan Studio) features Liu Yifei as a mysterious perfume shop owner with a split personality. There’s the normal Lu Mansheng, and then there’s the second persona Ye Moluo, who seems to gain the upper hand in the latter half of the series, and has a love-hate relationship with male lead Ye Shen (Jing Boran).

Did anyone count how many kiss scenes they had?

Promo Round-up: The Rise of Phoenixes

The Rise of Phoenixes tells of the heart-wrenching romance between the descendants of two royal families who are destined to become enemies, and the political machinations that are bound to push them further apart.

Starring Chen Kun, Ni Ni, Zhao Lixin, Ni Dahong, Yuan Hong, Wang Ou and Bai Jingting, the 70 episode drama airs daily on Hunan TV beginning tonight. Raw episodes will be uploaded by Croton, and it may also appear on Netflix US.

The Rise of Phoenixes confirms air date, releases new previews and stills

Chen Kun and Ni Ni’s The Rise of Phoenixes has released two TV spots, a bunch of new stills, and also gotten itself a new native title of 天盛长歌 (lit. The Golden Age of Tiansheng). The 70 episode drama is confirmed to air as a daily drama from August 14th.

I am 95% confident the drama has a sad ending in store for us just based on the last line: “I swear upon my father’s grave that regardless of the circumstance I am in, I shall never marry Ning Yi.”

Chen Xiao and Chen Yao play childhood sweethearts finding each other and love again in Meet in Youth, Love in Foods 像我们一样年轻.   She grew up to be a struggling chef, while he’s an art buyer. When his family restaurant is struggling, the two team up to try and save the business.The series co-stars Zhao Lixin, Yang Feiyang, Lu Shan, and Liu Enyou. It airs two episodes every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday beginning May 28.
