2021 bromance drama ships are already competing for fans

Next year has dozens of bromance dramas hoping to make the next big ship, and they’re already competing for fans. Three had pretty high-quality leaks today, including Fan Chengcheng and Wang Anyu’s Run Freely, Tan Jianci and Chen Zheyuan’s Winner is King, and Zhang Zhehan and Gong Jun’s A Tale of the Wanderers. All three are actually kind of cute, and I’m hoping at least one of the bromance dramas next year will be good.

Fan Chengcheng and Wang Anyu has a cute snowball fight for Run Freely:

Attention Actors posters and stills round-up

Peng Xiaoran and Huang Junjie reenacts The Legend of Demon Cat

From classics like Daming Palace/Palace of Desire and Chinese Paladin to recent films like The Legend of Demon Cat and Cry Me a Sad River, Tencent’s new acting competition Attention, Actors 演员倾就位 combines the best of I am an actor and Phantastic by capturing the actors for a TV performance rather than on stage while still maintaining an one-take rule. Featuring directors Chen Kaige, Li Shaohong, Vicki Zhao Wei, and Guo Jingming, the resulting segments are on average far more watchable than the other two.

Plus, they have some great stills and posters that are better than many dramas and film posters that are wallpaper-worthy. You can watch episode two English subbed here. Zhang Yunlong and Chen Xiaoyun act out Romance in the Rain:

Zhao Wei-produced fantasy romance releases trailer

The first drama produced by the woman who still holds the record for highest drama viewership, Everyone Wants to Meet You 谁都渴望遇见你 released its first trailer today.  Starring Zhang Zhehan, Zhang Ruonan, and Riley Wang, the series is a tale of a woman who can communicate with plants and two heirs fighting for both her and the family firm.

I think all three leads are under-utilized so I’m super hyped for this.
