It hasn’t even been a year since Zhang Yujian officially announced his marriage with Wu Qian after the latter was photographed together with their toddler daughter, and now they’re here with a divorce announcement. Happy Valentine’s Day!
This Weibo post from Zhang Yujian confirms the open secret that he is married to I Only Like You costar Wu Qian, and that the two have a daughter. Congrats to the couple!
The actor is visibly annoyed that he was forced to make the announcement because the paparazzi wouldn’t leave his family alone (as anyone would be), but reactions were mixed given his handling of the rumours over the past year:
In Darkness 逆光者 is based off Jin Shisi Chai’s BL novel of the same name and stars Zhang Yujian as a composite artist and Peng Guanying as a crime squad detective who suffers from schizophrenia. The 24 episode thriller will focus on the development of the pair’s friendship as they solve various cases together.
Directed by Yu Qing (Mystery of Antiques), the Mango TV web drama began filming yesterday.
I Only Like You / Le Coupe de Foudre stars Wu Qian (The Brightest Star in the Sky) and Zhang Yujian (The Plough Department of Song Dynasty) as a pair of sweethearts who breakup during high school and rekindle their romance as adults.
The 35 episode web drama streams 2 eps every Monday to Wednesday on Tencent and Youku.

In Find Yourself 资深少女的初恋, a 30-year-old designer ( Victoria Song Qian) must choose between a younger, financially unstable beau (Song Weilong) and a more “suitable” relationship with an exec (Wang Yaoqing) in this rom-com. The series released its first trailer today in time for the Hong Kong Film Festival.
What happened to Song Qian? I feel like all her projects since Moonshine & Valentine have been really good fits for her and have pretty unique set-ups. Even her acting doesn’t seem that out of place anymore. Her other projects includes The Broker with Luo Yunxi and The Moon Knows Not My Heart with Ou Hao.
Upcoming romance drama Find Yourself has released its first set of stills after wrapping up in November. Song Qian (Moonshine and Valentine) and Song Weilong play a couple with a ten-year age gap, while Wang Yaoqing (Entrepreneurial Age) plays a successful and mature executive who is attracted to the heroine.
Inspired by Journey to the West, An Oriental Odyssey 盛唐幻夜 stars Wu Qian (Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace) as Ye Yuan’an, the daughter of an official in the Ministry of Revenue who loves to solve crimes. (Trailer)
Could this be the first hard sci-fi drama to succeed?
Sci-fi drama Hard Memory: Prisoner Under Air 失忆之城之空气的囚徒 tells of a city in need of memories and oxygen. In the near future, the populace are imprisoned in a walled “city” as their memories are farmed by the ruling class. I imagine they must really need oxygen outside of the walled city since not giving people enough oxygen is probably not the best way to get memories.
I Don’t Like the World, I Only Like You is being adapted into a drama, which has taken on the shorter name of I Only Like You / Le Coup De Foudre 我只喜欢你. Wu Qian (A Life Time Love) plays the female lead, while Zhang Yujian (best known for his role as Prince Jing’s subordinate in Nirvana in Fire) plays her husband Yan Mo.
