Ark Peace stars Chen Kun and Zhang Tian’ai as doctors on a hospital ship that travel to developing countries to provide foreign aid. Directed by the infamous Cao Dun (Tribes and Empires, The Longest Day in Chang’an) and written by Feng Ji (Operation Red Sea), I might check it out and see how long it takes for Cao Dun to bore me into dropping the show.
The drama airs daily on CCTV-1.
Investigator stars Zhu Yawen and Wan Qian as business risk investigators who work together to investigate fraud in companies. Zhang Meng and Yuan Wenkang costar.
Now this is my type of show! Woman Like Me / Sisters Who Make Waves 乘风破浪的姐姐 (lit. translation) is aimed at forming a mature-age girl group, and I am loving all the contestants (full list below) and producer Huang Xiaoming after watching the first episode.
The variety show airs every Friday at 12pm on Mango TV, and will be up on YouTube shortly thereafter.
I Will Find You a Better Home 安家/卖房子的人 borrows the character setups of Japanese drama Your Home is My Business, and stars Sun Li as a real-estate agent who never fails to sell a house. The 53 episode drama costars Luo Jin, Zhang Meng and Wang Zijian, and airs daily on Dragon TV/Beijing TV beginning tonight.

Your Home Is My Business 卖房子的人 is loosely based on the Japanese drama of the same name and stars Sun Li as Fang Sijin, a real estate agent manager who has her own creative way of selling properties. The story begins in earnest when the heroine is sent to help save a failing real estate office branch managed by Xu Wenchang (Luo Jin).
Glad to see more series taking advantage of China’s diverse geography for on-location shoots.
Visually the most expensive-looking The Lost Tomb series so far, Sea of Sand 沙海 released its first trailer. The series stars Wu Lei as the protagonist, a high school’er who becomes entangled in a suspenseful adventure after meeting Wu Xie from The Lost Tomb series (Qin Hao). They’re joined by Yang Rong and Zhang Meng.
… and so… the fellowship of ice and fire begins…
Ice Fantasy posters this week. What are your thoughts of the episodes released so far? Starring Feng Shaofeng, Ma Tianyu, Victoria Song Qian, Xu Jiao, Zhang Meng, Wang Duo, and Madina Memet… despite thinking that there are certain advances that have been made in terms of production, I have a really hard time actually sitting through this drama and resisting the urge to click through scenes once I reach my limit… >.<

Cherry blossoms and (B)romance are a perfect match.
After all the coverage on Ice Fantasy, I do plan on checking out the first few episodes. Considering the writer’s previous works, I’ll be going in with no expectations, so all it needs to do is string together a semi-coherent story. The first two episodes will air tomorrow at 10pm (Sunday 24th in China).

Character posters from Ice Fantasy this today… since I have a butt-load of other images that have been released and the release date as of now is set for July 24th. Starring Feng Shaofeng, Ma Tianyu, Victoria Song Qian, Xu Jiao, Zhang Meng, Wang Duo, and Madina Memet, this is turning out to have some of the most diverse range of costume “looks” I have seen lately in a drama.
