Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it!
Going head-to-head with the upcoming film “Where are we going? Dad II” will be another comedy from the dads of the first season – Emperor’s Vacation 爸爸的假期. The film is directed by Wang Yuelun, and notably misses Cindy, but has a guest star from Tian Liang. Wang Yuelun isn’t the best director, so we’ll see how it goes. If anything, the kids will be cute, even if it is scripted.

Dad, where’s Photoshoot Friday?
A mini PF of some dad members. Tiantian (Angela) and Tiantian are so cute promoting their upcoming movie “Daddy’s Vacation” at the Fusan Film that I might switch ship, while Tian Liang and Cindy are adorable in a forest/school photoshoot. Meanwhile, Bei’er of season 2 puts up her hair in a bun in a beautiful photoshoot for Grazia with mom Bao Lei. Continue reading
Ni Ni and the boys for Cosmo Bride
Actress Ni Ni is paired with a group of males for Cosmo Bride‘s 7th anniversary special – model Zhang Liang, pianist Li Yundi, enterpreneur Chen Ou, singer Zhang Jie, and actor Bai Ke. How does this photoshoot compare with her Cosmo Bride shoot last year this time?
Tiantian and Shitou make cameos in Dad? Season 2

“Village Leader” Li Rui is probably happy to see kids who don’t bully him all the time.
Has anyone been following Dad, Where Are We Going? Season 2? Lu Yi and Huang Lei have decided to become the “bromantic” pair of the season, calling themselves “the shepherd and his wife/the garbage collector and his wife.” Meanwhile, Lu Yi’s daughter Bei’er introduced Grace (the youngest participant, who insists that everyone call her “Big sister(jiejie)”) as (pork) “Bun” (bao zi) in front of Yao Ming. Plus, the kids get to wear the traditional clothing of the people in each place they visit.
But if you’re pining for the boys from season 1, Tiantian, Shitou, and their fathers cameo at the end of episode 9, and actively participate in the goat wrangling/Mongolian wrestling/grand cooking contest in episode 10. A few more pictures here. In addition, Kimi and Jimmy Lin will be making a return in three episodes as the group goes to Taiwan.
Photoshoot Round-up: Zhang Liang, of the endless legs…
Not sure what the recommended daily dosage of Zhang Liang pictures is, but I have a feeling this round up will be an overdose. He has not only seemingly endless legs, he also had a seemingly endless stream of photo shoots that almost drove me crazy from all the uploading.
Zhang Liang and his son Tiantian won’t be returning for Dad? Where Are We Going season 2, but he does make a guest appearance in Korean drama Doctor Stranger. You could look for him there, or find the supermodel in the numerous pictures below the cut. WHich one is your favorite? Continue reading
Weibo Wednesday: May 14, 2014
Lots of goodies in this Weibo round-up, including two dating announcements! But first, let’s kick it off with a few Mother’s Day posts, some touching and some silly…

Meteor Shower actor Yu Haoming wrote a poignant message for his mother, who was with him every step of the way after he was injured in an explosion in 2010 when filming a drama with S.H.E’s Selina. After being hospitalized with numerous third-degree burns, his mother personally cooked every meal for him and brought it to the hospital for him to eat. Haoming shared in a recent interview that his mom is still in the habit of calling him a few times a day to check up on him.
And for those of you wondering what Haoming is up to, he just started filming a drama called Before the Rain (暴雨将至), which also stars Huang Zhizhong and Jordan Chan.
#In this world, only Mom is good# Mom’s goodness lies not only in her meticulous care in life, the urging of her patient persuasion, and her duty-bound silent support. Even more precious is that every time we take a picture, I will consciously rush onward, in order to make my face a little smaller. Everyone, where can you find such a good mother? Mommy, Happy Mother’s Day! I love you!
Fan Bingbing is still China’s biggest star

Fan Bingbing tops the Forbes China Celebrity List for the second year in a row, which means I get to reuse the same photo as last year.
Riding on her foray into Hollywood, actress Fan Bingbing has retained her top-ranking position on the Forbes China Celebrity List. The list, which ranks the top 100 Chinese celebrities based on media exposure and income, sees more Mainland stars this year than ever before, with 60 (or so) of the listees basing their careers in Mainland China. Aside from a handful of actors, however, the biggest A-listers were overwhelming from Hong Kong or Taiwan, with 14 of the top 20 hailing from either of the two islands.
According to Forbes, Fan raked in nearly $20 million last year, putting her on par with Jennifer Aniston and Kanye West. The celebrity with the deepest pockets, Jay Chou, banked $25 million, around the same as Ben Affleck or Buffy creator and Avengers director Joss Whedon.
Despite the success of China’s biggest stars (this year’s top 10 took home $20 million more than last year’s), the overall earnings of the Celebrity 100 decreased for a second consecutive year, accumulating $65 million less wealth than the year before. However, the celebrities still managed to bring home more than half a billion dollars between them.
Actors and actresses made up the bulk of the list, accounting for 72 of the celebrities. It is common for celebrities to both sing and act in the Chinese entertainment industry, however, and several were identified as both.
Of the 29 singers and musical groups on the list, only six were from Mainland China. Of those six, five were involved in reality television singing competitions, with the exception of Hong Kong-launched Faye Wong.
Mainland Pianists Lang Lang and Li Yundi maintained their presence on the list, with Li (ranked 56) overtaking Lang Lang (57) for the first time.
New entrants to the list include Tiny Times author Guo Jingming who debuted at 27, model Zhang Liang of Where Are We Going, Dad? fame, and I Am A Singer runner-up G.E.M and Taiwanese actor Kai Ko just sneaking onto the list at 91 and 97 respectively.
Meanwhile, notable dropouts include Taiwanese film director Ang Lee (previously ranked 29), Hong Kong funnyman Stephen Chow (24), Jet Li (41), Nobel laureate Mo Yan (16), Olympic gold medalist Sun Yang (31), former Super Junior member Han Geng (87), and Super Girls Chris Li (15) and Jane Zhang (45).

Cindy turns six, already breaking hearts

This photo was so cute and popular that Sohu and QQ later reached out and brought the originals to put as their entertainment headliner.
Tian Liang may have been ousted of the “National Father-in-Law” title by Han Han, but that’s only because the competition for Cindy‘s heart is already a tight-race. #Cindy’s rumored boyfriend” beat out even the Hong Kong Film Awards to make the top hashtag on Weibo following Guo Tao’s recounting of a comment by Shitou at Cindy’s birthday party. The birthday party, along with an award for Zhang Liang, also helped the entire Liang^2 family of 7-1 , including Kou Jing, Ye Yiqian, Zhang Liang, Tian Liang, Cindy, and Tiantian, all get in the top ten most searched names on Weibo for the past two days.
Shitou said: “Happy Birthday, Cindy.”
Like a flower waiting to bloom, Cindy smiled,” Thanks, Shitou-gege.”
Shitou then said,”Your rumored boyfriend is still on the road. Let’s not wait and start eating.”Shitou-ah, you should learn more from Dad when he was young. *tears* *tears* *tears*
