For those wanting a peek into melodrama side of things, the first trailer gives a pretty good run down of the romance and revenge plot lines.
Our Glamorous Time revolves around the romance between an aspiring fashion designer (Zhao Liying) and a soldier turned CEO (Jin Han). Throw in some revenge plots and conspiracies set up by business competitors, and you’ve got yourself a 50 episode idol romance drama (I wouldn’t have guessed from the poster alone).
The new trailer for Republican-era drama The Great Craftsman makes it out to be a Romeo and Juliet story, where master builder Shen Qi’nan (Wallace Huo) breaks off his relationship with architect Fu Hanjun (Yang Mi) after discovering she is the daughter of the man who killed his father.

Idol drama My Poseidon 我的波塞冬, starring Zhang Yunlong as Poseidon and Eleanor Lee as a marine geologist who is the modern reincarnate of Amphitrite, has finished filming and released some stills. The drama features the two re-falling in love in modern times while they also try to save the ocean, but mostly falling in love. Zhang Junning and Sui Yumeng play fellow scientists.
Shawn Dou just came off a well-received performance as Yan Xun in Princess Agents, and is currently filming modern romance drama From Survivor to Healer 爱上你治愈我 with rising actress Miao Miao (Xiao Qi in Princess Agents, female lead in Feng Xiaogang’s Youth).
