First look at Sun Li, Mark Chao in The Ideal City
The Ideal City 理想之城 stars Sun Li (I Will Find You A Better Home) as Su Xiao, a quantity surveyor who claws her way back up the ladder in the male-dominated architecture industry after undergoing various tribulations. Mark Chao plays her love interest Xia Ming.
Based on the novel by Ruohua Ranran and directed by Liu Jin (The Perfect Partner), the 40 episode drama recently wrapped up filming.

Based on the wuxia novel of the same name by Wen Ruian, Heroes 说英雄谁是英雄 follows the adventures of young lad Wang Xiaoshi (Zeng Shunxi) as he journeys through jianghu and befriends the morally ambiguous Bai Choufei (Liu Yuning), Wenrou (Yang Chaoyue) and Su Mengzhen (Baron Chen).
Directed by Li Muge (Goodbye My Princess), the drama is still filming.

Cheng Yi, Zhao Yingzi’s The Promise of Chang’an premieres tonight
The Promise of Chang’an is a remake of 2003 classic The Secret History of Xiaozhuang and stars Zhao Yingzi, Cheng Yi and Han Dong in a Tang dynasty love triangle.
The 68 episode drama comes from the director-writer team behind this year’s xianxia romance Love and Redemption, and will release 2 episodes every Thurs-Sat on Tencent. English subs should be available on WeTV.
Promo Round-up: Midsummer is Full of Love
Midsummer is Full of Love 仲夏满天心 is a remake of Korean drama Full House, and stars Yang Chaoyue as aspiring musician Luo Tianran who enters a contract marriage with top idol Jin Zeyi (Xu Weizhou).
