Mirror: A Tale Of Twin Cities, City of Streamer and more to premiere next week

Happy New Year! There’s plenty of dramas premiering over the next few days, so I thought I’d cover them all in the same post. Which ones are you looking forward to watching the most?

On a side note, I just started watching time-loop drama Reset, and it’s pretty good so far. It’s not the thriller I was expecting, though I do like how it spends time developing the backstories of the other bus passengers as well. Plus, it’s only 15 episodes long – what can go wrong? Try the first episode here.

Mirror: A Tale of Twin Cities 镜:双城

Promo Round-up: Weaving A Tale of Love

Fun fact: This is the first period show to premiere on primetime television since Legend of Xiao Chuo in November, and Hunan’s first primetime period show since Serenade of Joy in April 2020.

Weaving A Tale of Love 风起霓裳 (previously Bright Moon of the Tang Dynasty 大唐明月) apparently has nothing to do with the original novel, but Hunan TV’s teasers do make the show look appealing in its own right. The period romance stars Nazha as an imperial seamstress who wants to avenge her mother’s death and Xu Weizhou as her love interest. [Extended]

The 40 episode drama is a loose adaption of the first half of the novel, and releases 2 episodes every Sun-Thurs and 1 episode every Fri-Sat.
