Set against the backdrop of 1980s Guangzhou, Dear Mayang Street stars Xu Weizhou and Tan Songyun as young sweethearts who eventually split when the former becomes involved with gangsters and criminals. Niu Junfeng costars as the kind second male lead who carries a torch for the heroine.
The 37 episode drama premieres on Youku tonight (22nd). Release schedule at the end of the post.
Datang Mingyue (literally Bright Moon of the Tang Dynasty) stars Nazha as a royal seamstress and Xu Weizhou as a politician and her love interest. Apparently the drama only filmed content from the first few books – no news on whether a second season is in the plans. [Extended Synopsis]
Midsummer is Full of Love 仲夏满天心 is a remake of Korean drama Full House, and stars Yang Chaoyue as aspiring musician Luo Tianran who enters a contract marriage with top idol Jin Zeyi (Xu Weizhou).
