Legend of Awakening is loosely based on Hudie Lan’s novel of the same name, and stars Chen Feiyu, Xiong Ziqi, Cheng Xiao and Deng Enxi as young heroes who end up saving the world together.
The 48 episode drama releases 2 eps every Thurs-Sun on iQiyi / Mango TV. English subs will be available on the iQiyi app and later on iQiyi Youtube.
Perhaps to celebrate its lead’s 20th birthday, xianxia drama Legend of Awakening released its first video previews today. This includes the MV for the theme song by Wang Sulong (below), as well as previews for the leads on Weibo here.
Chen Feiyu turned down Ever Night 2 for this, so this drama better be worth it.

Another Me is the television adaption of the critically acclaimed film Soulmate, and stars Shen Yue and Chen Duling as best friends who eventually have a fall out after both of them fall in love with the high school heartthrob (Xiong Ziqi). They seem to mend their friendship after growing up, and live happily ever after with their own true loves, played by Liang Jingkang and Zou Tingwei respectively.
The 48 episode drama releases 2 episodes every Monday to Thursday on iQiyi here (currently not region blocked) beginning tonight.

Meteor Garden stars Shen Yue and Liang JIngkang reunite in Another Me 七月与安生, a remake of the award-winning film Soul Mate. Chen Duling (Left Ear) will play Liang’s best friend and Shen Yue’s soulmate, while Xiong Ziqi plays the girls’ mutual love interest. The series has wrapped up filming and just released this set of cute but weird animal-themed posters.
With the youngest leads yet for a major production, xianxia series Legend of Awakening 天醒之路 has recently began filming on-location in Xinjiang and Ningxia. The series stars Chen Feiyu, Deng Enxi, Xiong Ziqi, and Cheng Xiao of Cosmic Girls and seems to follow the typical xianxia mold of a group of young people journeying across a fantasy land while fighting bad guys.
The series has the youngest leads yet for a major production, with Chen Feiyu born in 2000 and Deng Enxin in 2005. The previous two are currently streaming Youku series Eagles and Youngsters, with Wang Junkai (1999) and Wenqi (2003), and upcoming series The Great Lord , with Wang Yuan (2000) and Ouyang Nana (2000).

Xiong Ziqi is so pretty, he has perfect hair and dry clothes in the rain.
I actually do not have any expectation for One and Another Him, but they have such pretty promo posters that set the mood perfectly for youth dramas. The series airs 2 episodes every Wednesday, Thursday beginning July 18th. Continue reading
Following the now common tale of a cold, brilliant soul and a friendly, goofy soul living in the body of one hot love interest, One and Another Him 我和两个ta looks like a dupe of a bunch of other similar dramas like Fool in Love with You^2 and Two Spirits’ Love. Zhang Zifeng (Chinatown Detective) can be a brilliant actress at times, though, so it might be good.
Xiong Ziqi plays the male lead while Liu Jianyu, Liu Yichang, and Xia Ruoyan round up the rest of the cast. I don’t know the supporting cast but they look cute.

The Heart Painter 画心师 is set to air on April 24th. Starring Xiong Ziqi, Zhu Xudan, Li Junchen, Bao Tianqi, Sun Bohao, Huang Tianqi, Qiu Haoxuan, Maggie Siu, Zhong Jiufu, He Zhonghua, Gao Xiong, and Fang Xiaoxi, those interested can give this a go and check out all the new goodies.
