Jolin Tsai sings for Tiny Times 3.0

“I see the future, the blooming of a ten thousand flowers. ” – Jolin Tsai’s lyrics and my dream for Chinese entertainment.

Thanks to the addition of Vivian Dawson, Tiny Times 3.0  got a new theme song from Jolin Tsai.   The song, Kaleidoscope 万花瞳, is blocked on YouTube, but you can watch the MV on LeTV here.   What do you think? How does it compare to previous theme songs by  Sodagreen and Yu Kewei?

Tiny Times trailer wakes up!

“When you’ve written a character for five years, you know what  they’ll say next with your eyes closed” – Guo Jingming, author, scriptwriter and  director of Tiny Times.

Movie Tiny Times finally released its first trailer! Directed by the original author Guo Jingming, every  scene is gorgeous  and just like how I imagined the book would be like. Watch the English subbed trailer in HD below with Yang Mi, Amber Kuo, Kai Ko, Chen Xuedong, Feng Xiaoyue, Li Ruiming, Xie Yiling, Guo Biting, and Jiang Chao.

The trailer even has a complimentary shirtless shot of four of the male leads:

Calling all Tiny Times characters to wake up!

Awaken from fiction, to a theatre near you (or not)

The characters of Guo Jingming‘s upcoming film Tiny Times may still be asleep in the realm of fiction, but the author-director is calling for them to WAKE UP! in time for the movie.

The posters feature the eyecandy cast of  Yang Mi, Amber Kuo, Kai Ko, Chen Xuedong, Feng Xiaoyue, Xie Yiling, and Guo Biting.   I like how the beds are all very representative of their backgrounds and personalities. Yang Mi’s bed is simple while Kai Ko’s is luxurious, Xie Yiling’s is pink and girly, and Chen Xuedong’s in a hospital bed. Continue reading →

Anyone else a fan of this concept?

Guo Jingming’s Tiny Times the movie released another set of stills, this time of the four main leads while in school.   This is an interesting deviation from the novels since the four, with vastly different backgrounds, did not meet until college, where they are roommates.  More pretty stills of the four female leads Yang Mi, Amber Kuo, Xie Yiling and Guo Biting  below the cut. Some shots from the shooting of Tiny Times the movie starring Yang Mi, Amber Kuo, Kai Ko, Chen Xuedong, Jiang Chao, etc..  The general feel of these photos is exactly like how I imagined it to be – lavish and extravagant, but with a sense of surrealism.
