My Roommate is a Detective is one of the most hilarious offerings in drama land right now that’s more enjoyable as a sit-com than a detective mystery. Hu Yitian plays consulting detective Lu Yao, a goofier version of Sherlock Holmes who loves to snack on baked plant seeds. He’s definitely more expressive here than in The Handsome Siblings, and provides much of the comedy in the show.

My Roommate is a Detective 民国奇探 stars Hu Yitian (A Love So Beautiful) as Lu Yao, an arrogant genius detective who just returned from an overseas education and becomes the assistant to the hot-blooded inspector Qiao Chusheng (Zhang Yunlong).
Another remake of the classic folk tale, New Legend of Madam White Snake stars Ju Jingyi (Legend of Yun Xi) as the titular white snake, Yu Menglong (All Out of Love) as Xu Xian, Xiao Yan (The Legends) as Xiaoqing and Pei Zitian (Legend of Haolan) as Fa Hai.
