Zhang Zhehan, a breakthrough star thanks to Word of Honor, is set to say goodbye to a career in the entertainment industry after previous Instagram posts showing him posing inside the controversial Yasukuni Shrine and attending a friend’s wedding at Nogi Shrine were shared online.
The actor was supposed to star in military film Formed Police Unit 维和防暴队, but it seems like the producers will either edit the character out of the story or find an actor to replace him.

Word of Honor 山河令 is super shippable and closer to boy’s love than bromance, but it’s also one of the best wuxia series recently. The storytelling is the closest I’ve seen to Jin Yong in a long time, and the two leads are solid Gu Long lead material. While the rest of the world fights over the key to a cave full of wuxia secrets, our two lovebirds alone have no interest in what’s in the cave. One just wants to be left alone, while the other just want to watch the world burn.
Continue readingWord of Honor (previously A Tale of the Wanderers) has released its first trailer, and after watching it I have no idea what the main plot is. Starring Zhang Zhehan, Gong Jun and Zhou Ye, the 36 episode drama is premiering tonight. within the next couple of days on Youku.
Edit: The series will begin streaming tonight at 6pm CN time. Members can watch 1 episode a day (4 tonight) and pay to watch in advance beginning March 19th.
