The trailer for Enemy 对手 looks so good it deserves its own post. The show is described as a “cat-and-mouse spy drama set in peaceful times” and features Guo Jingfei, Tan Zhuo, Yan Bingyan and Ning Li in leading roles.
The suspense drama comes from director Lu Lunchang (Little Doctor) and writer Wang Xiaoqiang (Little Doctor, Mask).
The remake is titled Unknown Number and stars Du Chun as the detective from 1998 who is able to communicate with a modern day profiler (Wang Tianchen) through a magical cellphone. Li Xiaoran rounds out the trio as the current-day police detective who was once the hero’s colleague.
The Tencent web drama will release 2 eps every Wed-Fri.
(From the trailer, it seems like the remake hasn’t changed anything – even the music is the same.)
Unknown Number 时空来电 is an adaption of the acclaimed Korean crime thriller of the same name, and has cast Du Chun as Cao Zheng, the earnest cop from the past timeline who would give his life to find out the truth.
Tang Dynasty Tour 唐砖 has released a beautiful new teaser that doesn’t tell me anything about the story itself. Based off Jieyu2’s novel of the same name, the web drama stars Wang Tianchen (Youth) as Yun Ye, an archaeologist who time travels back to the Tang Dynasty during a sandstorm.
The Princess Weiyoung costars and real-life couple Tang Yan and Luo Jin are in the last stages of filming for The Way We Were, an upcoming Romeo and Juliet-esque romance drama that focuses on the lives of international students in the US.
Directed by Feng Xiaogang (I Am Not Madame Bovary), Youthfollows the story of Liu Feng, played by Huang Xuan (Extraordinary Mission), as he goes from popular dancer in the art troupe to a soldier on the real battlefield.
