Next year has dozens of bromance dramas hoping to make the next big ship, and they’re already competing for fans. Three had pretty high-quality leaks today, including Fan Chengcheng and Wang Anyu’s Run Freely, Tan Jianci and Chen Zheyuan’s Winner is King, and Zhang Zhehan and Gong Jun’s A Tale of the Wanderers. All three are actually kind of cute, and I’m hoping at least one of the bromance dramas next year will be good.

Based on popular BL novel Run Freely by Wuzhe, You On My Left Shoulder 左肩有你 (lit.) stars Fan Chengcheng as Jiang Cheng, a studious high-schooler who is abandoned by his foster family and forced to move back with his father, a compulsive gambler. Jiang Cheng develops a rebellious streak, though everything changes when he meets the roguish Gu Fei (Wang Anyu).

Tangren has returned to the Qing-time-travelling genre with Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty, which stars Li Landi as a 21st century young girl who is able to time travel back and forth between the two eras. Her main love line will be with the thirteenth prince (Wang Anyu).

After a long drought in the genre, the team behind Qing Dynasty time-traveling romance Bu Bu Jing Xing returns with an adaptation of one of the pillars of the genre – A Dream Back to the Qing Dynasty 梦回大清 by Jinzi. The series stars Li Landi as a modern girl sent back to the reign of Kangxi, where she becomes intertwined with the lives of the various princes as they fight for the throne.
Tangren may be attempting to recreate the classic that was Bubu Jingxin / Scarlet Heart with their upcoming period romance drama Dreaming Back to the Qing Dynasty 梦回大清. Li Landi (My Huckleberry Friends) stars as Mingwei, the heroine who can time travel back and forth between the Qing dynasty and the 21st century.
