Acclaimed melodrama Too Late To Say I Love You costars Wallace Chung and Li Xiaoran will be playing reunited lovers in For the Rest of My Life 往后余生 (lit.), an adaption of Feiwo Sicun’s novel of the same name.
With a track record of supporting talented new directors by producing films like Dying to Survive, A or B, and How Long Will I Love U, Xu Zheng will hopefully continue this trend with his latest production, pet-themed ensemble film Adoring 宠爱 by new director Yang Zi.
Adoring finished filming early in the summer and is set for a Dec. 31, 2019 release date. The film feature six segments – Yu Hewei X Li Landi, Wu Lei X Zhang Zifeng, Yang Zishan X Wallace Chung, William Chan X Zhong Chuxi, Tan Jianci X Kan Qingzi, and poor Guo Qilin all by himself (but with a puppy!) . Can you name all the cast members from the Xu Zheng-judged Season Two of I Am An Actor?
Fun fact: They’ve had to re-film a portion of the show and cut a chunk of Ma Tianyu’s scenes because the censorship board wasn’t happy with the fauxcest storyline.
All Out Of Love 凉生, 我们可不可以不忧伤 is an upcoming melodrama based on Le Xiaomi’s novel of the same name, and stars Sun Yi (Because I Met You) as a young woman who has fallen in love with one man but can’t leave her childhood sweetheart behind.
Here’s my favorite performance of the CCTV Sping Festival Gala, a theatrical spectacle set atop Mount Tai that almost looks like an Olympic Torch Lighting. The three song performance features Huang Xiaoming, Wallace Chung, Jerry Yan, Xia Li’ao, and Li Yundi.
Wallace Chung plays Lu Fei, an up-and-coming director who returns from the US to film a movie based on the story of his first love Xin Chen (Jiang Shuying), as well as rekindle their relationship after discovering that a small misunderstanding has kept them apart for a decade. Aaron Yan costars as a university friend who has a secret crush on Xin Chen.
