Bright As The Moon 皎若云间月 stars Zhang Zhixi (Love and Destiny) as a romance novelist who time travels to the past and becomes the rebellious noble lady Yun Qianyue. Tong Mengshi (Joy of Life) costars as her love interest.
The 40 episode drama is written by Zhang Zhixi and premieres on Youku in 4hrs.
Thankful for the Remaining Years / Qing Yu Nian comes from Wang Juan, the writer of cult hits Turbulence of the Mu Clan, Legend of Southwest Dance and Music and Young Blood. Zhang Ruoyun is a forward-thinking noble intent on pushing through political reforms, most of which are opposed by the tyrannical ruler of Qing (Chen Daoming).

Upcoming palace intrigue drama The Legend of Haolan stars Wu Jinyan as Li Haolan, a former noble lady of the Zhao state who is first a concubine to merchant-turned-politician Lv Buwei (Nie Yuan) before marrying the future ruler of the Qin state Ying Yiren (Mao Zijun).
The 63 episode drama will release two episodes every Saturday to Tuesday on iQiyi / MZTV beginning tonight. Members get an 8 episode head start.

New Return of the Condor Heroes (I refuse to acknowledge their official title The New Version of the Candor Heroes) made headlines yesterday after releasing a set of badly photoshopped posters, and tried to salvage the sinking drama by releasing a new set featuring Yang Guo (Tong Mengshi) and Xiaolongnv (Mao Xiaohui)…except I don’t think they succeeded.

Riding on the popularity of The Story of Yanxi Palace, Beauty Hao Lan / Legend of Haolan 皓镧传 has secured a November 15th release date. The Yu Zheng-helmed palace intrigue reunites Yanxi stars Wu Jinyan and Nie Yuan. They’re joined by Mao Zijun, Ning Jing, Tan Zhuo, Tong Mengshi and Wang Lin.

The latest adaption of Return of the Condor Heroes / Romance of the Condor Heroes 神雕侠侣 has confirmed Tong Mengshi (Colourful Bones) as Yang Guo, new actress Mao Xiaohui as Xiaolongnü and award-winning young actress Wenqi (Eagles and Youngster) as Guo Xiang.
Thankful for the Remaining Years / Qing Yu Nian Season 1, also known as Joy of Life, has released stills of the leading cast members. Fan Xian’s (Zhang Ruoyun) growth arc will stretch across the entire show, as he learns valuable skills from Chen Pingping (Wu Gang), head of the kingdom’s investigative agency.
Fan Xian gets embroiled in murder mysteries and strange cases in the pugilist world (jianghu), and ultimately makes his way into the political scene, where he decides to challenge the Emperor (Chen Daoming) and the feudal system he represents.
Yes! Chen Daoming is back in drama land, and as a main character no less. In Thankful for the Remaining Years / Qing Yu Nian Season 1, he’ll be playing the tyrannical Emperor of the fictional country of Qing (he may be known as Liu Yu in the drama), a martial arts grand master and biological father of our protagonist Fan Xian (Zhang Ruoyun).
