Cyberpunk film Dream Breaker trailer

“With hot young actors in a story about adventure, love and digital culture, this is the perfect film for China’s post-1990s generation” – Ivy Zhong, the head of the studio making this who clearly should get a PR person to sell it better.

 According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cyberpunk film by Han Yan, Dream Breaker 破梦游戏, “stars actress Chen Duling as a young woman who must fight her way through a mysterious, holographic game world designed by her late father to avenge his death. ” It co-stars Song Weilong, Tong Dawei, Cao Xiwen, and Archie Gao.

China’s New Variety Show ‘Real Hero’ To Air July 10th

Which one of those is not a noun?

Real Hero 真心英雄,’ China’s newest variety show to air July 10th, is a spin-off off of South Korea’s ‘Infinite Challenge’ and ‘X-Man’, where a team of celebrities are given strenuous physical and mental challenges to complete in a short amount of time. Watching the trailer, it seems that the challenges include diving through a pool of plastic balls, parachuting into the sky, a giant tug of war, hamster ball fighting, wrestling, and lots of good ‘ol variety show style drama.

This season’s team features Chen Xuedong, Joe Cheng,  Zhang Jie, Zhu Yawen, Tong Dawei, and Yang Kun,  with Guo Jingming as a guest star in ep 1. The theme of this show, according to the show creators at Jiangsu TV,  is to show the audience what it takes to be a real hero, and how we can be them in our everyday lives.

Love Without a Trace releases collage stills

The designer of some of these costumes clearly went through the fabric section at JoAnn.

Tong Liya’s period comeback releases stills… and a trailer!!  Our prayers have been answered.  Glory Hallelujah!!  Love Without a Trace stars Tong LiyaYang ShuoTong Dawei, Peng Guanyin, and Guan Yue.  I was having doubts about the costumes at first but seeing them in motion is definitely restoring some confidence.

Tong Liya leads for upcoming drama “Love Without a Trace”

idarklight is getting her wish – Tong Liya will be taking on another costume drama this year. “Love Without a Trace 爱无痕” features Tong Liya and Yang Shuo as the leads in a Five Dynasties Ten Kingdoms-era romance, with a guest appearance from Tong Dawei, and actors like Peng Guanyin and Guan Yue in supporting roles.
