New Return of the Condor Heroes (I refuse to acknowledge their official title The New Version of the Candor Heroes) made headlines yesterday after releasing a set of badly photoshopped posters, and tried to salvage the sinking drama by releasing a new set featuring Yang Guo (Tong Mengshi) and Xiaolongnv (Mao Xiaohui)…except I don’t think they succeeded.

Weibo Wednesday: September 23, 2015
This is less of a Weibo Wednesday update and more of round-up of a bunch of celebrities who announced they were dating (or in one case, married) and whom we couldn’t bother devoting an entire post to. Let me know if there are any celebrities you’d like an update from, because the Weibosphere has been a little dry lately, tbh.

陈晓: 总有一天,你会跟我姓 [鲜花][兔子][兔子][兔子]@陳妍希michelle

陳妍希michelle: @陈晓 [心][心][心][兔子]
Whether you loved or hated The Romance of the Condor Heroes (神雕侠侣), you gotta admit that the way leads Chen Xiao and Michelle Chen went public with their real-life relationship is pretty cute.
Chen Xiao: There will be a day when you will share my surname.
Weibo Wednesday: December 31, 2014
Happy last day of the year! We hope that 2014 wraps up well for all of our Cfensi readers, and that 2015 will be an even better year! No earth-shattering news in this Weibo Wednesday round-up, but there are some cute animals and the usual pack of cute kids.

刘亦菲: 它太萌了我受不了
Crystal Liu Yifei hung out with a baby elephant at the beginning of the month. So adorable! Have another photo below the cut:
Chen Xiao, Chen Xiang sing for Romance of the Condor Heroes

The Chen family may have taken over RoCH, but the Yang family has now added Zhao Liying and Michelle Chen to the growing list of family members like Liu Yifei, Liu Shishi, and Yang Mi
Who knew that Chen Xiao could sing so well? I think I’m starting to be touched by Chen Xiao’s undying love for fanboying Liu Xin, or maybe just his voice. The Chen Xiao-Liu Xin duet, as well as more of the OST from Chen Xiang, Michelle Chen, and Zhang Jie, below. The series premiers Wednesday night on Hunan TV.
“Condor Heroes” fights back against netizen backlash

After defending his love against the societal pressure in the drama, Chen Xiao must fight against it once more for XiaoLongNv’s actress.
Using netizens’ mockery of the new adaptation, the first official ad for the newly-named The Romance of the Condor Heroes has Chen Xiao, calling for the audience to shatter the wall of gossip, and look at the series and Michelle Chen for what it (she) really is.
This is exactly why no one planning to air on Hunan TV should release trailers before Hunan TV does. I feel like their ads deserve to be put on altars. For another example, I love how this ad of Ancient Sword turn real-life news hotspots into positive selling points for the shows.
The series is set to follow The Song of Desert in its weekly spot. Chen Xiao’s other drama, Cloud Song, has unfortunately been pushed back once more.
Chen Xiao’s “The Condor Heroes” Releases First Preview

Chen Xiao and Michelle Chen display their tag-team kung fu as Yu Zheng shows off his Photoshop fu. (Seriously. Look at Chen Xiao’s forehead.)
Yu Zheng may have been accused of plagiarism, but that’s not stopping him from going full-steam ahead with his other high-profile project, the newest adaptation of wuxia classic Return of the Condor Heroes (神雕侠侣). Starring Chen Xiao as Yang Guo and Michelle Chen as Xiaolongnü, the drama is now officially titled The Romance of the Condor Heroes.
The preview is essentially a mishmash of scenes that will probably make sense only to those who know the storyline (or, seeing as Yu Zheng is the screenwriter, maybe not). Check out the video and some stills below, and get your first look at Yang Rong as Mei Chaofeng.
