Not enough of Wang Kai in Ode to Joy? We’re less than two months away from his upcoming series, Stay With Me! The series managed to steal the coveted Hunan TV summer slot, and before the Olympics, too, so at least we know the guys at Hunan TV like it. Here’s a sneak-peak of the show from Mango TV, although it’s not an official trailer. Also, don’t worry, Wang Kai is using his own voice for the actual series, although co-stars Joe Chen and Qiao Renliang won’t.

Spring is coming, it’s the perfect time to fall in love with this new set of much chirpier photoshoot from Stay With Me. This set of posters actually has nothing to do with Easter other than the pastels, but happy Easter to those of you who celebrate it!
Btw, the script is confirmed to be by Xu Ziyuan (WuXin: Monster Killer, yay!) and Qian Jingjing (Destined to Love You and Cage of Love, urgh) .

Chen Qiao’en and Wang Kai look stunning in the first posters for Stay With Me 放弃我抓紧我 that actually feature the two together. We’re already seeing tons of chemistry between the leadsfrom behind-the-scenes. This photoshoot was done the first day the actors met, and all that was going through my head for the second half of the video was “kiss already!”
At a news event recently, without knowing who he was, Chen Qiaoen’s mom picked out Wang Kai from photos of previous collaborators as her choice of son-in-law. Her mom said he was the best-looking and looked more gentle and friendly. Good choice.
Chen Qiao’en and Wang Kai face-off as the heads of rival fashion conglomerates in Stay With Me 放弃我抓紧我. This latest drama from Dream Stardom is their biggest budgeted one yet, with a budget of over a million RMB for clothes alone and a fashion stylist from Huayi. The series will also shoot in Paris.
Stay With Me co-stars Kimi Qiao Renliang, model Chen Ran, and newbie Zhang Xuanrui. It’s set for a summer 2016 release.
On the subject of fashion, Wang Kai attended the Milan Men’s Fashion Week last week. Accompanying him were Sohu Entertainment, a couple of streetstyle photoshoot teams, and L’Officiel Hommes. It sounds like he was doing photoshoots whenever he was not at a show, so you can expect a lot of photoshoots to add to his existing 26 photoshoots in the past three months.
Fans followed him everywhere, so much that his fans made the New York Times for their fanaticism (but really? you’re impressed by 110 retweets and 261 favorites in a hour? The screencap of the same tweet on Weibo probably got that much in a minute. ).
If we replace Joe Cheng with someone from Macau, we would get a happy Greater China family.

Leave Me, Catch Me 放弃我抓紧我 features Joe Chen as a fashion designer who all of a sudden lost her memories after the age of 23, is now engaged a man who she doesn’t know, and competitors with the man who she thought was her boyfriend. Can she rebuild her life and find her lost dreams? The male cast includes Wang Kai, Bosco Wong, and Joe Cheng.
Filming begins next month in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Milan, and Paris. OMG Wang Kai in Paris in those gorgeous winter coats! I’m going to be thinking about Ming Cheng’s college days during all those scenes. Can we please have a scene where the girl leaves him so he runs out and then kneels in the snow while wearing only a white shirt? I’m probably expecting too much …
