A mini PF of some dad members. Tiantian (Angela) and Tiantian are so cute promoting their upcoming movie “Daddy’s Vacation” at the Fusan Film that I might switch ship, while Tian Liang and Cindy are adorable in a forest/school photoshoot. Meanwhile, Bei’er of season 2 puts up her hair in a bun in a beautiful photoshoot for Grazia with mom Bao Lei. Continue reading

Tiantian and Shitou make cameos in Dad? Season 2

“Village Leader” Li Rui is probably happy to see kids who don’t bully him all the time.
Has anyone been following Dad, Where Are We Going? Season 2? Lu Yi and Huang Lei have decided to become the “bromantic” pair of the season, calling themselves “the shepherd and his wife/the garbage collector and his wife.” Meanwhile, Lu Yi’s daughter Bei’er introduced Grace (the youngest participant, who insists that everyone call her “Big sister(jiejie)”) as (pork) “Bun” (bao zi) in front of Yao Ming. Plus, the kids get to wear the traditional clothing of the people in each place they visit.
But if you’re pining for the boys from season 1, Tiantian, Shitou, and their fathers cameo at the end of episode 9, and actively participate in the goat wrangling/Mongolian wrestling/grand cooking contest in episode 10. A few more pictures here. In addition, Kimi and Jimmy Lin will be making a return in three episodes as the group goes to Taiwan.
Photoshoot Friday: Dad, Where Are You?
I’m sad that none of these pictures have Cindy in them, but on the plus side, there are several with her parents, Tian Liang and Ye Yiqian. Angela Wang makes an appearance though, together with her parents Wang Yuelun and Li Xiang. Everyone’s favorite Shitou shows off how tough he is while he poses with father Guo Tao. Jimmy Lin looks smart in a suit – no Kimi to be seen, though. Zhang Liang‘s photo leaves us no doubt that he’s a model, with those long legs…But where’s Tian Tian? Having tea with Cindy?
Sorry, jjss08 is completely smitten with this series.
“Dad” goes creative with posters

Unsatisfied with the cute but conventional posters above, the kids take their dads matters into their own hands.
For a movie that’s created in a month, Where are we going? Dad the movie has really impressed with its advertising. Headed by eeMedia’s publicity director Wu Mengzhi (the lyricist for the theme) and N13 Visual Studios, the film has released a string of great posters and trailers. The character posters switch the kids and their dads, while the trailers include actual trailers (below), extras, baby pink character trailers, and meticulously created concept trailers with forest and road trip themes. They even got all the moms to sing a theme song with their kids!
Advanced screenings have generally said it’s hilarious and cute and usual, although some derided the film’s moneymaking tactics. What do you think? Will it be a hit or a flop?

Dad, everyone loves Shitou!

“Psst, now that I’ve walked in on you changing twice, I won’t abandon you!”
The “macho man” that Tiantian looks up to, the boy who can beat Cindy at arm wrestling and running , the older brother who picks a worse house so that the younger kids won’t cry, Shitou (Guo Zirui) was unanimously voted everyone’s favorite by the other kids on the Yunnan trip of Where are we going? Dad . Soft-hearted and insecure himself, Shitou switches between strong, thoughtful, caring, and shy.

Where are we going? To the sea!

Tiantian is so pretty, a grandpa in this episode was shocked to find out he was a boy.
Gorgeous and adorable photos from the Jiming island of Shandong, where the “Where are we going? Dad” group had fun going crabbing, fishing, fixing a seagrass house for an elderly woman, and playing with elderly villagers whose children have left the village to work.
