Meteor Shower actor Yu Haoming wrote a poignant message for his mother, who was with him every step of the way after he was injured in an explosion in 2010 when filming a drama with S.H.E’s Selina. After being hospitalized with numerous third-degree burns, his mother personally cooked every meal for him and brought it to the hospital for him to eat. Haoming shared in a recent interview that his mom is still in the habit of calling him a few times a day to check up on him.
And for those of you wondering what Haoming is up to, he just started filming a drama called Before the Rain (暴雨将至), which also stars Huang Zhizhong and Jordan Chan.
#In this world, only Mom is good# Mom’s goodness lies not only in her meticulous care in life, the urging of her patient persuasion, and her duty-bound silent support. Even more precious is that every time we take a picture, I will consciously rush onward, in order to make my face a little smaller. Everyone, where can you find such a good mother? Mommy, Happy Mother’s Day! I love you!
Remember last week, when Jimmy Lintried givingKimi Lin a haircut and thought he’d totally ruined his son’s new hairstyle? Well, turns out things didn’t end so badly after all…
That day I gave Kimi a “boy haircut,” he happily did various poses.
I said, Wow! Now your hair is like Daddy’s!
Kimi said, No, I am Lee Min-ho!
Embarrassed… I ask for an evaluation: Whose hairstyle does his new hairstyle resemble? #gift for reaching 47 million followers#
The cast cosplaying “Let’s Go Watch Meteor Shower”
As Perfect Couple nears airing date on the 21st, the series is releasing plenty of goodies, this time their ending theme song MV and a series of Meteor Shower themed photos. The song below is written by the amazing Lin Hai (Da Ming Palace), with lyrics by Tonghua. More photos of the leads, Tang Yan, Wallace Huo, Gong Mi, and Huang Ming, below the cut.
If we’d known there would be so many drama-release announcements this week alone, we would have consolidated them all in one post, but where’s the fun in that? Anyhoo, for all you Tang Yan and Wallace Huo fans, their slapstick/romance drama Perfect Couple (金玉良缘) is slated to air on April 21st on Jiangsu TV and Shenzhen TV.
Whoever made that offering to the cdrama gods must really like Tong Hua (not that she’s at all involved with Bu Bu Jing Qing, apart from its being the sequel to one of her stories), because the writer is actually behind the screenplay of Perfect Couple. Now, if only they’d give any sort of hint as to when Legend of the Moon and Stars (星月传奇) will broadcast, this week would be a perfect week for Tong Hua fans.
Have an extended trailer, which really threw me off the first time I watched it because the dubbers are the same ones who dubbed Roy Qiu and Tang Tang in My Daughter (夏家三千金).
Let’s add Wallace to the list of men who look good, even when half bald.
In his new upcoming drama The Great Protector 镖门, Wallace Huo shaves half of his head bald in order to play a hero in the Xinhai Revolution era. Once again, he is the eldest disciple of his sect; a strictly rule-abiding man of justice, he betrayed by his sect brother and his fiancé, going on to develop a relationship with a female bandit…
If you’d rather have more light hearted drama, but are still very much into Wallace, you could follow his new drama Perfect Couple, where he collaborates with Tang Yan (could this be their fourth reincarnation together, one where they’re finally happy? It’s Ming dynasty, so the timeline seems about right…) Wallace’s princely gentleman is rather impish, and seems to have gotten off to a bad start with Tang Yan’s spunky female lead… Some pictures can be found below the cut, with much more here.(But you’ll have to look at two more bald Wallaces before you get to that bit of cuteness).
So, Wallace, you finally know what happens to me whenever I see your photoshoots?
