Argh I waited too long to post this…massive pileup of news. This was such a headache to all get in here.
BOBO was kept busy recently with the release of their show, NONSTOP, and celebrated their two year anniversary with the release of a new photo diary that I’ve already added to my list of goodies to buy. They also wrote loving speeches to each other.
Yes, another post on this movie. I really should start posting on movies other than just thoseĀ I’m interested in, but oh well. The theme song, Tonight, of One Night in Supermarketwas unveiled yesterday in a press conference. The MV centers around the secret, unrequited love that Kimi Qiao Renliang‘s character has for his fellow co-worker, played by Jacqueline Li Xiaolu.
What caught my eye was that thisĀ song, blending a mixture of rock and and rap was composed and written by Peng Tan. However, it seems less like Peng Tan and much more suited for Kimi even though neither does rap. I don’t know what to think about this but I love the song. And the pretty lights.
The movie, directed by young newbie director Yang Qing, has had good buzz, and opens July 24th hoping to attract a wide audience, and is likely to capture the younger crowd at least.
Sorry, this list is rather randomly organized. OK, now it’s organized.
Tang Yan of the upcoming Stormriders 2 movie (and the CP3 and Pandamen series), posted up pics of her at the ceremony on her blog, along with goofy self-cam pre-redcarpet. This is the only eye-candy related news I have, sorry.
This is one of the two A-List film festivals in Asia, the other being Tokyo. Despite starting late (1993), organizers have been working hard to make this as prestigious as possible, a subjective measure, and it does seem to be a step up from last year with Danny Boyle heading the jury, and various other stars walking the red carpet. I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of these pictures already, sorry for the lateness! I’ll post on the SIFF again later.
How cute are Qiao Renliang and Li Xiaolu together?
Quick post, because I’ve been sort of busy. One Night in the Supermarket, an ensemble comedy about a 24-hour supermarket will be competing for the ” CCTV6 Chinese Film Media ” award, at the upcoming Shanghai Film Festival, one of the biggest film festivals in Asia. I’m not really sure how that award works except that it’s given out by CCTV6 and has evolved into its own subsection of the SFF. Guess why I’m interested in the movie?
