Complete with kite flying, Beijing yogurt (aka the best yogurt), youtiao, and a friendly match of Chinese chess in the shadows of the imperial palace under writings of Mao Zedong, this photoshoot of Beijing native Lu Han is probably one of the best from Chen Man in a long time.
Lu Han’s currently starring in his first drama, Fighter of the Destiny. The series is too draggy for me but he’s very pretty in it.
Q: Can a fan tell me if Lu is his last name?

Lu Han has the best fan memorabilia ever and I’m beyond jealous. With a theme around deer (Lu 鹿 means deer) and reading, the collaboration with designer Wu Tong takes inspiration from books from the Royal Library as well as architectural accents from the Forbidden Palace.
The collection includes a pencil case, a six-sided stamp that doubles as a necklace pendant and a incense burner, a paperclip, a bookmark, a journal, and envelopes with designs from the Royal Library.

It’s nice to see productions in all different genres coming through the works as opposed to every other drama being a palace period or any other of the genres that have been popular lately.
Fighter of the Destiny 择天记 has released more stills and a teaser. Starring Lu Han, Gulnazar, Wu Qian, Yao Di, Zeng Shunxi, Xu Lingyue, Ju Xianhao, Zhang Junzhu, Gao Hanyu, Chen Shu, and Eric Tsang, it seems like as of late, a decent production team is only covering the basics of what it takes to make a successful drama as other production teams ramp up on these regards. Dramas with productions that may have once commanded hoards of fans and dominated ratings are finding it harder to do so with other productions in the line-up.
