Court Lady 骊歌行 stars Xu Kai as a profligate youth who chooses to make a name for himself after falling in love with the heroine (Li Yitong). Costars include Tan Jianci, Wu Jiayi and some other Yu Zheng artistes. I’m liking the comedy, so am definitely in for the first quarter.

The 55 episode drama releases 2 episodes every Thursday – Sunday on iQiyi / Tencent.

A sequel of sorts to 2019 hit rom-com Go Go Squid!, Go Go Squid 2: Dt.Appledog’s Time (native title change to 我的时代 你的时代) stars Hu Yitian as a robotics competitor who has a decade-long crush on fellow competitor Ai Qing (Li Yitong). Li Xian and Yang Zi make guest appearances.

Royal Nirvana releases 12 episode special

Royal Nirvana calls it a special, but it’s actually just the final 12 episodes that were cut when the drama first aired back in 2019. The last 12 episodes will continue to focus on the conflict-laden father-son relationship, and possible rebellion by the crown prince’s cousin. Starring Luo Jin, Li Yitong, Huang Zhizhong and Zheng Yecheng, VIP members will be able to watch all 12 episodes tonight.
