Two upcoming late-Republican/Pre-revolution dramas, The National Southwest Associated University and Us with Wang Hedi and Zhou Ye, and A Love Never Lost with Li Xian and Chun Xia, have both recently released stills.
It’s pretty rare to use popular young actors for this period, but the casting for both seem spot-on . Wang Hedi and Zhou Ye look perfect for the wide-eyed university students of the era, and Li Xian and Chun Xia are both very solid actors who can blend flawlessly into the era. Plus, this is Hong Kong Film Awards Best Actress Chun Xia’s first leading drama role, so I’m actually really interested in the two projects.
