XDRAMAsX’s 2021 Drama Review

I dropped Song of Youth within 30 minutes after realising the show wasn’t the female ensemble it promoted itself to be, but Lamu Yangzi’s imitation of Luoshen is just too hilarious not to post.

2021 seemed to be a year where the drama in C-ent was more gripping than the fictional stories playing out onscreen, but I still went through a fair share of interesting television shows. Which ones did you love the most or love to hate the most?

Peng Xiaoran, Jin Han begin filming period romance Jun Jiuling

Peng Xiaoran (Goodbye My Princess) plays an intelligent princess who specialises in medicine in Jun Jiuling 君九龄. After her family is murdered, she takes on a new identity and begins her own secret investigations in an attempt to unravel the political conspiracy. Jin Han (Royal Nirvana) plays her childhood sweetheart and future love interest Zhu Zan.

Based on Xixing’s novel of the same name, the drama is written by Li Mingchao (Buliangren) and directed by Xie Ze (Legend of Fuyao).
