The trailer for Sisyphus looks great, and I’m loving the show’s tag line: “The past is the future, and the future is the present.” Starring Wang Qianyuan, Lu Han, Qi Xi, Qiao Xin, Wu Yue and Zhang Haoran, the second drama in iQiyi’s Lights On series will probably be released after Kidnapping Game ends on the 17th. Promo Round-up: Kidnapping Game

In Kidnapping Game 十日游戏, Zhu Yawen plays a game developer who holds a grudge against Shen Hui (Liu Yijun) after the latter suddenly stops investing money. He meets Shen Hui’s illegitimate daughter Lu Jie (Jin Chen), and the two begin to design an elaborate revenge plot. Geng Le costars as the detective.

The 12 episode iQiyi web drama just announced it will begin streaming in 2 hours (8pm CN time).

Writer of Burning Ice to work with Qin Hao, Liao Fan for upcoming iQiyi crime thrillers

Streaming giant iQiyi has bought the adaption rights to two more novels written by Zi Jinchen, the screenwriter and original author of critically acclaimed thriller Burning Ice 无证之罪. Both web dramas have already started filming, and will have twelve 60 minute episodes.

The Hidden Corner / The Bad Kids 隐秘的角落 is already in production, and stars Qin Hao, Wang Jingchun and Zhang Songwen.

A long-suffering live-in son-in-law (Qin Hao) hatches up an elaborate murder plot to kill his cheating wife and her family after she demands a divorce. His actions are recorded by three children playing nearby, yet he soon discovers that he was actually set up by the three young children. Consequently, he begins to work out how and why a thirteen-year-old boy is able to twist the truth to his advantage.

Wang Qianyuan, Lu Han cast in Day & Night director’s new drama

Sisyphus 在劫难逃 is an upcoming mystery sci-fi thriller starring Wang Qianyuan as Zhang Haifeng, a former detective who has been wasting away his days after the accidental death of his two-year-old daughter. A recent serial murder case that seems to tie in with his daughter’s case catches his eye, and Zhang Haifeng begins to chase down a man who has been labelled a main suspect (Lu Han).
