A Little Mood For Love, previously known as Xiaomin’s Home, stars Zhou Xun and Huang Lei (who is also the screenwriter of this show) as divorcees with kids who decide that they are each other’s one true love. I did like the relationships between the characters in A Little Reunion, so hoping this one is equally as good. The drama airs daily on Hunan TV.
Xiaomin’s Home is the latest modern drama from Linmon Pictures (Nothing But Thirty, Hunting, A Little Reunion), and stars Zhou Xun and Huang Lei as divorcees trying to navigate a new life together. [Extended Synopsis]
I loved A Little Reunion, and I am so pumped for this show.
Xiaomin’s Home小敏家 is helmed by Wang Jun (Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace, A Little Reunion) and reunites April Rhapsody and Ripening Orange costars Zhou Xun and Huang Lei after almost two decades.
A Little Separation’s companion series, A Little Reunion focuses on three sets of families who all go to great lengths to ensure their children perform well in the university entrance exams, yet eventually realise that perfect scores are not the be-all and end-all.
Hai Qing is the strict mother who constantly compares her son (Zhou Qi) to her nephew (Liu Qi), while Huang Lei plays the father who is always responsible for defusing the situation.
A Little Reunion 小欢喜 takes on the important social issue of university entrance exams (gaokao), and revolves around the conflicts of three vastly different families with kids in their final year of high school.
Go Fighting! 极限挑战 is one of the two variety shows I follow religiously (the other being Who’s the Murderer? 明星大侦探), and Season 3 of the popular variety show is finally ready to premiere tomorrow night.
Sun Honglei, Huang Bo, Huang Lei, Show Luo, Wang Xun and Lay Zhang Yixing are all returning for the latest installment, and I’m looking forward to seeing them tackle more fish-out-of-water scenarios over the next twelve weeks.

Here’s a trailer for Midnight Diner, the official remake of Shinya Shokudo by Yaro Abe. Huang Lei (variety show Happy Life) takes on the role of the mysterious Master, the owner of a restaurant that only accepts customers between midnight and 7am.
Fun fact: Zhang Huiwen portrayed an (ex)ballerina in her debut film (Coming Home), and again in this upcoming youth film, but she actually majored in folk dance.
Rising actress Zhang Huiwen (Gong Li and Chen Daoming’s daughter in Coming Home) is co-starring with Li Yifeng in a new movie, Forever Young (literally The Gardenia Blooms). Xu Nuo (Li Yifeng) and Yan Qi (Zhang Huiwen) are a greatly admired couple in college. Xu Nuo is famous for being the lead singer for the band “Gardenia,” while Yan Qi dreams of dancing. She has the opportunity to leave the country and dance abroad, but reality becomes an obstacle, and Xu Nuo tries to cheer her up by preparing a surprise…yet this “surprise” forces these impulsive youths to pay a significant price.
The theme song was sung by Angela Wang Shiling (Dad, Where Are You?) and the director of the movie, He Jiong! Look below the cut for more pictures. Li Yifeng also lends his voice for two theme songs. Continue reading →

The film focuses on the story of a high school (?) band consisting of Li Yifeng, Jiang Jinfu, Zhang Yunlong, Chai Ge, Calvin Du . The female cast is stellar cast of film leads, including Coming Home‘sZhang Huiwen ,The Rooftop‘s Li Xin’ai, Summer of Bubbles‘ Zhang Yuxi, and Song Yi.
It seems like everyone’s becoming a director these days, but I don’t mind if these celebs are all using their fame to promote young and talented actors. Also Zhang Yuxi is gorgeous.
