Xu Zhengxi, who is currently experiencing a significant rise in popularity after playing Yuwen Hu in Legend of Dugu, is taking on the leading role in upcoming historical romance drama Legend of the Phoenix 凤弈 opposite He Hongshan (Above the Clouds).
The unofficial remake of hit Taiwanese drama In Time With You, Evolution of Our Love stars Zhang Tianai (Legend of the Naga Pearls) as a white collar worker who’s had no luck in her love life, Zhang Ruoyun (Sky on Fire) as the best friend who’s afraid to take that extra step, and Xu Weizhou (Addiction) as a successful executive who falls in love with the heroine.
Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace is a 90 episode epic that will chronicle the failed marriage of Ruyi (Zhou Xun) and the Qianlong Emperor (Wallace Huo), and has just released grand posters of its cast in formal court robes (chaofu / 朝服), which is worn strictly during state ceremonies and important festivals. The historical romance drama is tentatively scheduled for a New Year premiere.

Zhang Tian’ai (The Founding of an Army), Zhang Ruoyun (Sky on Fire) and Xu Weizhou (Addiction) have been announced as the leads of upcoming modern romance drama The Evolution of Our Love 爱情进化论. The producers aren’t promoting it as such, but the story line definitely sounds like a remake of the hit 2011 Taiwanese drama In Time With You.
The attention to detail on all of these is just… O_O
