White Deer Plain was nominated in every single category, and took home three awards. He Bing took home the top acting award for his performance in The Love of Courtyard, though he was equally impressive in White Deer Plain (I really need to pick this show up again).
White Deer Plain 白鹿原 is based on Chen Zhongshi’s critically acclaimed novel of the same name and chronicles the feud between the Bai and Lu families during a time of political upheaval. Zhang Jiayi (The Young Marshal), He Bing (Anti-Japanese Hero Qi Jiguang) and Qin Hailu (Shopping Queen) lead the older generation, while the main characters from the younger generation will be played by Zhai Tianlin (Legend of Nine Tailed Fox), Lei Jiayin (Red Star Over China) and Li Qin (Love O2O).
I guess it will be refreshing to see a war drama now.
War of Resistance: Qi Jiguang is going to be released today, December 24. Starring Zhu Xiaoyu, Yan Danchen, Yu Rongguang, Ni Dahong, Li Liqun, He Bing, Shao Feng, Jia Nailiang, Yu Zhen, and Kenichi Miura, the story follows the story of the historical general during the Ming dynasty and his fight against the Wokou pirates.
