Eva Huang is a human-butterfly-bird hatching from an egg in this pretty but also pretty weird photoshoot. I’m not sure if the photoshoot team knows that just because butterflies have wings doesn’t meant they are birds that hatch from an egg in a nest, but it’s pretty so we’ll forgive them.
The actress is currently in girl group reality show Sisters Who Make Waves.

Now this is my type of show! Woman Like Me / Sisters Who Make Waves 乘风破浪的姐姐 (lit. translation) is aimed at forming a mature-age girl group, and I am loving all the contestants (full list below) and producer Huang Xiaoming after watching the first episode.
The variety show airs every Friday at 12pm on Mango TV, and will be up on YouTube shortly thereafter.
Republican era bromance drama Winter Begonia, which still has no release date, has released a set of character poster and a video of the shooting session with Huang Shengyi and Huang Xiaoming looking like they’re going out on a hunt together. I just need this drama to air now so I have something to watch.
Everlasting Serenity 岁岁青莲 (lit.) was originally a Qing dynasty romance drama that went by the name of Xifei’s Royal Love in the Palace. To avoid delays due to censorship, production company New Classics Media (Ruyi’s Royal Love) has changed the dynasty, though the storyline will remain intact for the most part. He Hongshan (Legend of the Phoenix) plays Luo Qinglian, a kind-hearted and learned noble lady who marries prince He Lianxin (Peter Ho).

Yu Zheng’s bromance drama Winter Begonia 鬓边不是海棠红 has recently wrapped up filming. Starring Yin Zheng, Huang Xiaoming, and Charmaine Sheh, the series focuses on the story of a Peking Opera troupe during the turbulent Republican era.
For a borderline boylove drama, I can’t believe we don’t even have a photo of the two male leads together yet. Huang Xiaoming looks at the top of his game , though.
Peking opera-themed Republican drama Winter Begonia 鬓边不是海棠红 released its first full set of still today while announcing the full cast. The Yu Zheng-produced series stars Huang Xiaoming, Yin Zheng, Charmaine Sheh , Tan Jianci, Merxat, Ma Su, Bai Bing, Du Chun, Huang Shengyi, Liu Min. Gao Yu’er, Chi Shuai, and Tang Zeng.

Wang Luodan in her bridal getup for Cosmo Bride could have her cake…and stand on it; doesn’t she look perfect as a figurine, with those colorful balloons? No groom to accompany her in this shoot, but her sister cameos in a white dress. Meanwhile, Wallace Chung and JIa Qing promote their new drama together in wedding style. Qin Lan dons white and silver jewelry, but she’s definitely the only lady here who’s shooting with a jungle as a background. Tong Liya and Kitty Zhang Yuqi are completely ready for spring – the former is surrounded by pink flowers, the latter covered with them. Xu Qing wears them as earrings (so does Eva Huang Shenyi, if you look hard enough), while Liu Shishi and Wang Luodan both deck themselves with lacy flower patterns. I’m going to pass Zhang Ziyi’s black plumes off as leafy ferns.
Tong Liya looks ready for Easter in her Femina shoot, and Eva Huang Shenyi alternates between an ice queen and a casual summer look. Li Yuchun is dashing as a man for Marie Claire, and Sun Li has a few vampire-looks dressed in black. Meanwhile, Ying’er is cute in a bird print dress, and Bea Hayden poses with a stone bust in white.
