Republican Era dramas The Love Never Lost, The National Southwest Associated University and Us release stills

The National Southwest Associated University and Us – Wang Hedi

Two upcoming late-Republican/Pre-revolution dramas, The National Southwest Associated University and Us with Wang Hedi and Zhou Ye, and A Love Never Lost with Li Xian and Chun Xia, have both recently released stills.

It’s pretty rare to use popular young actors for this period, but the casting for both seem spot-on . Wang Hedi and Zhou Ye look perfect for the wide-eyed university students of the era, and Li Xian and Chun Xia are both very solid actors who can blend flawlessly into the era. The drama brings back director Yang Yang as well as most of the first season’s cast – Song Yiren, Yuan Bingyan, Dylan Kuo, Sun Zujun, etc. Yang Chaoyue joins the cast as the god Haotian, while Lian Lian replaces Tong Yao as the princess. There’s still no broadcasting date announced.

Round-up of celebrity September schedules put out by their workshops, mostly selected based on if I liked their photo. I’m too lazy to look up what they’re all filming, but the biggest news is probably that Dilraba is finally filming again after being on filming break since the new lunar year.
