Clothes identification from : Starstylefashion@Weibo , clothes from the Bazaar Weibo or the star’s own Weibo’s (this is fair because both are PS’ed anyways) .
Rush to the Dead Summer is a coming-of-age drama starring Chen Xuedong (The Great Wall) as a talented artist who is later swamped with accusations of plagiarism, Zheng Shuang (Love O2O) as his love interest and Bai Jingting (recently seen on well-received variety show Who’s the Murderer?) as his best friend who is not in love with his girlfriend.
The 46 episode drama will begin airing tonight.
Could Guo Jingming finally have a decent TV adaptation of his novels? The trailer so far seems lovely, and casting of Zheng Shuang, Chen Xuedong, Bai Jingting, Xia Ziting and Chai Biyun is perfect.
Rush to the Dead Summer follows the main lead Lu Xiaosi (Chen Xuedong). Xiaosi is an introverted but talented illustrator who began publishing under a pseudonym in high school. He finally made it big in college and started his own publishing company, only to be caught in accusations of plagiarism. As if afraid you can’t figure out that this story is about him, Guo Jingming made the main lead’s name (小司) literally being a homophone of his own pseudonym (小四).
This is the second time Chen Xuedong will play Guo Jingming, the last time being when he played Zhou Chongguang, an annoying writer who would never turn in his writings in time, in Tiny Times 1/2/3/4. We get it, guys, you guys are soulmates.
Being a Guo Jingming story, there are also a lot of love triangles. Xiaosi is joined by the extroverted and sunny bff who will literally die for him Lu Zhihang (Bai Jingting), the perfect(ly dull) female lead Lixia (Zheng Shuang) who he dates, the spunky Yujian (Xia Ziting) with dreams of being a rockstar and a love triangle of her own , and the vain Cheng Qiqi (Chai Biyun) who also likes Xiaosi.
Guo Jingming and China’s first motion capture animation film L.O.R.D. (Legend of Ravaging Dynasty) finally released its first full-length trailer. It stars Fan Bingbing, Yang Mi, Chen Xuedong, Kris Wu Yifan, Amber Kuo, William Chan, Yan Yikuan, Aarif Lee, Lin Yun, Wang Duo, and TF Boys‘ Wang Yuan. You know, if the CGI isn’t that great, you could’ve at least chose good voice actors to make up for it …
L.O.R.D. (Legend of Ravaging Dynasties) may have delayed its opening night to September, but they released their first magazine cover in time for June with a whooping 10 different Cosmos covers for you to chose from.
Featuring director/writer Guo Jingming with actors Fan Bingbing, Chen Xuedong, William Chan, TF Boys’ Wang Yuan, Amber Kuo, Aarif Lee , and Lin Yun, the ten covers are shot by Chen Man and Wu Ming. Which ones are your favorites?
Chen Xuedong, featured in Guo Jingming’s upcoming movie “L.O.R.D.,” makes an appearance in Milan Men’s Fashion Week. Someone needs to let him know that his camo jacket doesn’t really hide him from anyone – he doesn’t do a bad job of catching your attention. Look below the cut for more pictures. (more…)
As a string of men’s fashion weeks concludes this week, here’s a round-up of some of the looks. We have Kris Wu Yifan in London, Chen Kun, Wang Kai, Sheng Yilun, Chen Xuedong in Milan, Yang Yang, Jing Boran in Paris. In particular of note is Kris Wu Yifan, who is the first male actor of Chinese descent to walk the runaways for a high-end fashion show (Burberry).
In addition to appearances at shows, most of them also took some time for street style photoshoots, so you can expect more in the coming weeks. So, which looks are your favorites?
As idol actors try to prove their worth, many of them are looking toward espionage dramas. Li Yifeng, Zhao Liying, Liu Shishi, Hawick Lau, Zhou Dongyu, Zhang Ruoyun, Chen Xuedong, Lu Yi, Qiao Zhenyu, and Ady An Yixuan are just some of the latest spies in the drama world.
Espionage dramas have long been turning points for many actors, most recently Jin Dong and Wang Kai in The Disguiser. While usually more reserved for veteran actors, the specialty is now in vogue for the young and beautiful. Set mostly during the Sino-Japanese war, a period is known for their classy outfits and intrigue-filled politics, espionage dramas are perfect for multi-layered characters and acting if one can handle it.
A round-up of some upcoming espionage dramas, in historical chronological order. Which ones are you looking forward to the most? (more…)
