Serenade of Peaceful Joy TV spots spotlights the relationships

Here’s a compilation of the much more enticing TV spots for Serenade of Peaceful Joy (formerly Held in the Lonely Castle), focusing on the relationships between the Emperor (Wang Kai) and his Empress (Jiang Shuying), favorite concubine (Wang Churan), daughter (Ren Min), and first love (Crystal Zhang Tian’ai), as well as that between the Princess and her first crush (Ding Jiawen), husband, eunuch (Bian Cheng), and father.
The drama has been moved back to April 7th due to a national day of mourning for victims of the coronavirus on April 4th.

Held in the Lonely Castle has released its first teaser, and shows a conflicted Emperor Renzong of Song (Wang Kai) who must balance the pressure of reform and performing his royal duties with the desire to be a good father to Huirou (Ren Min). Costars include Jiang Shuying, Yang Le, Bian Cheng and Yu Entai.

Song dynasty drama Held in the Lonely Castle 孤城闭 released a new set of stills to celebrate its five months so far of filming.
Directed by Zhang Kaizhou (The Story of Minglan) , the historical drama is about the Emperor Renzong of Song’s struggle to balance the factions both within and outside his palace while trying to push through new reforms. The series stars Wang Kai, Jiang Shuying, Ren Min, and Bian Cheng.

Song dynasty drama Held in the Lonely Castle 孤城闭 announced its latest round of cast members, including Zhang Tian’ai, Cao Xiwen, Wu Yue, Xu Lingyue, Zhang Benshuo, Wen Yanbo, and Ding Jiawen.
