Despite the fantasy elements, I’m just glad the costuming for Chinese dramas are getting more and more similar to clothing that people may have actually worn during that era as opposed to “generic” hanfu.

I’m no expert on historical clothing from everywhere on earth but I question if some of these costumes are more inspired by more modern definitions of costumes for certain groups as opposed to the historical ones…
