Yang Shupeng: Then, let us fight the monsters together. @Zhang Xinyi
Director Yang Shupeng and actress Zhang Xinyi (above) have announced that they have tied the knot with a cute weibo on Sina.
Meanwhile, badminton players Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei, who became the only couple to have won the summer olympics together when the won the Mixed Doubles in 2012, finally moved their couples ring from their middle finger tho their ring finger. The shift was noticed during this year’s Sudirman Cup this week, when the couple helped China to its fifth consecutive win. Congrats to the lovely pair both on and off court!

Viva China Sports, the management of some of China’s top sports teams, recently did a new photoshoot for their athletes. Combined with a shoot from 2011, the shoots make-up an unfortunately not-for-sale calendar of some of the sports realms’ best-looking athletes.
It has to be something in the water that makes them all so adorable. In the bathtub with rubber duckies is swimmer Sun Yang, the runaway 2012 Olympics star. Alongside the pool takes us to Vogue’s photoshoot of diver-turned-actress Sang Xue and host Bao Chunlai, who’ll be making a badminton re-comeback next year. Following them is swimmer Ye Shiwen and actor Shawn Dou for 5th channel. And finally, diver-turned-actor Tian Liang is the only one to really leave the pool with a business photoshoot.

Fu Haifeng may have the fastest smash in the world, but Cai Yun makes up for it with a killer smile (and net play, determination, brilliance, etc. ) .
China’s first and only men’s doubles Olympic champion Cai Yun (and Fu Haifeng) is just one of the badminton team’s many male models. A revisit of the two photoshoots and one videoshoot he did for Elle Homme, narrated in pretty French by photographer Raphaël Olivier.
Peng Shuai advanced to the Quarterfinals of the China Open. One of her old coaches was Michael Chang, whose tried to boost popularity for the game in China by guest-starring in Prince of Tennis Season 2.

This year, with $4.5 million in prize money, the Beijing China Open is now for the first time a mandatory, top-level WTA Tour stop. But the sport is also getting boosts from entertainment stars who are helping to push it into the mainstream consciousness. The China Open is in its final rounds, and Jane Zhang and Yang Kun recorded a song for it some time ago.
(This was before Universal started making her look trashy…go back to Hua Yi Jane, not the let’s-remake-songs company!)
