Director Yang Shupeng and actress Zhang Xinyi (above) have announced that they have tied the knot with a cute weibo on Sina.

Meanwhile, badminton players Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei, who became the only couple to have won the summer olympics together when the won the Mixed Doubles in 2012, finally moved their couples ring from their middle finger tho their ring finger. The shift was noticed during this year’s Sudirman Cup this week, when the couple helped China to its fifth consecutive win.   Congrats to the lovely pair both on and off court!

1. Sun Yang for GQ

It has to be something in the water that makes them all so adorable. In the bathtub with rubber duckies is swimmer Sun Yang, the runaway 2012 Olympics star. Alongside the pool takes us to Vogue’s photoshoot of diver-turned-actress Sang Xue and host Bao Chunlai, who’ll be making a badminton re-comeback next year. Following them is swimmer Ye Shiwen and actor Shawn Dou for 5th channel. And finally, diver-turned-actor Tian Liang is the only one to really leave the pool with a business photoshoot.

China Open Comes to a Close While The Game Gets a Boost From Entertainment

Peng Shuai advanced to the Quarterfinals of the China Open. One of her old coaches was Michael Chang, whose tried to boost popularity for the game in China by guest-starring in Prince of Tennis Season 2.

Like a lot of other sports, tennis has risen in China quickly due to greater funding for it over the past years. This year, with $4.5 million  in prize money, the Beijing China Open is now for the first time a mandatory, top-level WTA Tour stop. But the sport is also getting boosts from entertainment stars who are helping to push it into the mainstream consciousness. The China Open is in its final rounds, and Jane Zhang  and Yang Kun recorded a song for it some time ago.
