Fangirls (and fanboys) rejoice! Bu Bu Jing Qing (步步惊情), the long-awaited sequel to the 2011 time-traveling drama Bu Bu Jing Xin (步步惊心), has an official broadcast date — April 22nd, which is in just a little more than a month!
On March 18th, Zhejiang TV reported on Weibo that Bu Bu Jing Qing would have an exclusive showing at the station’s China Blue Theater (中国蓝剧场). Sina Entertainment then contacted an insider and received confirmation that the series would begin airing on April 22nd.
Interestingly enough, Bu Bu Jing Qing will be broadcast on Zhejiang TV, instead of on Hunan TV like its predecessor. Earlier this month, netizens began buzzing over rumors that Hunan TV would begin airing Bu Bu Jing Qing on March 9th, but the news turned out to be untrue.
Known as the drama that brought Nicky Wu and Liu Shishi together, Bu Bu Jing Xin will see a reunion of the real-life and on-screen couple in the modern-day Bu Bu Jing Qing. The upcoming series also features returning cast members Ye Zuxin, Annie Liu, and Damian Lau, along with new cast members Sun Yizhou, Jiang Jinfu, and Chen Xiang.
If she can’t have a prince in this life, well, being a princess herself isn’t too bad either.
How often do you see an official music video dedicated to the “other” love triangle? Recently, the “wrongful love” MV version of the Bu Bu Jing Qing theme song “Dust 尘埃” was released, featuring the love triangle between 8th prince stand-in Sun Yizhou, Liu Shishi, and Annie Liu. (No sweat, Nicky Wu, you’ve got the girl in real life!) The synopsis can be found here, and more stills in other Bu Bu Jing Qing posts we’ve written.
I guess if you pretend Sun Yizhou’s face is Kevin Cheung’s, you could pretend…actually you can’t, Annie’s here too.
Not everyone was pleased with this trailer for Tangren’s new drama, sequel to their hit Bu Bu Jing Xin, starring Liu Shishi, Nicky Wu, Jiang Jinfu, Zheng Yike, Annie Liu…I wonder if Tong Hua feels like her story has been butchered, and if she begins to understand the fury I feel at her for what she did to Liu Bingyi in Song in the Clouds.
