Helmed by three masterful directors, A Murderous Affair in Horizon Tower is one of only a handful of dramas in recent years that is truly female-centric and brave enough to tackle sensitive subject matter such as gender discrimination, domestic violence, rape, PUA and victim blaming.
The story begins with the death of coffee barista Zhong Meibao (Angelababy) in her apartment, and the brilliant opening sequence below introduces pretty much all the suspects.

Directed by Leste Chen (Battle of Memories), Xu Zhaoren (Moonshine and Valentine) and Wu Zhongtian, the 16 episode miniseries is split into 8 chapters, focusing on the seven main suspects and the victim.

With directors and a cast riveling that of a mid-budget film, whodunnit mystery series A Murderous Affair in Horizon Tower 摩天大楼 is the latest innovation in Internet series. The series will be filmed by three directors – Leste Chen , Matt Wu, and Chao-Jen Hsu – who will film the stories of the various characters separately. The whole show will be told from the perspective of all nine suspects living on the same floor of a skyscrapper, giving the audience plenty of time to try and guess who did it. Yang Zishan and Guo Tao play the detectives while Angelababy guest stars as the victim.
