Tang Yixin, Zhang Ruoyun wedding photos

Embroidered on Tang Yixin’s dress is “Love you as love life”, which they also have tattooed on their ankles.

After over ten years of being in love, Tang Yixin and Zhang Ruoyun finally held their fairytale wedding this weekend at the Adare Manor in Ireland. Joining them were bridesmaids Li Qin, Shen Mengchen, and Victoria Song Qian, groomsmen Liu Haoran, Jing Boran, and Guo Qilin, and emcee Ma Sichun. Jing Boran caught the bouquet but gave it to Ma Sichun. Not sure what’s the proper superstition here, so we’ll have to wait and see which one of them gets married first.

Wedding News: Zhang Ruoyun and Tang Yixin

Rom-com couple Zhang Ruoyun and Tang Yixin will finally tie the know on June 27th. The two met ten years ago when Zhang Ruoyun was driving and stopped at a traffic light. Pre-school classmates married: Zhou Fang, Liu Chang

The  couple back in their middle school, where they exchanged letters every day.

Actress Zhou Fang ( Lovebirds 戏点鸳鸯 aka one of the cutest cdramas of all times)  recently got married to director Liu Chang (With You 最好的我们), and their love story is as cute as any idol drama.  The two went to pre-school together, dated once in middle school, once in high school, and then one last time in college that resulted  in marriage.   Here’s her story loosely translated.

Yes, I married the boy who’s been in my life for 24 years.

I met Liu Chang in middle school.

Scrawny, around my height.

Every afternoon, we took the k54 bus home.

Before he got off at his stop every day, we would exchange a letter that we wrote  each other.

We’ve kept every one of those letters to this day.

Yan Kuan, Du Ruoxi Wed in Bali

Yan Kuan in a blog post on the eve of the wedding: “I will take my stubbornness, loyalty, and courage toward marriage, and solidify them into a sapphire. They will become a wedding ring for you to wear on your finger.”

Actor Yan Kuan and actress Du Ruoxi, who got engaged in April of last year, held their wedding ceremony on Bali Island on March 22nd. Both the bride and the groom, who have been together since 2009, choked up when it came time to exchange their vows.

Yan Kuan, who officially changed his name to Yan Yikuan but whom we’re still calling Yan Kuan for continuity’s sake, arrived with an elephant to escort the bride, since elephants are an auspicious symbol in Southeast Asia. Unfortunately, the elephant devoured the bridal bouquet that it was supposed to give Du Ruoxi. Luckily, the groom had come prepared with a second bouquet.

Although the newlyweds aimed to keep their wedding open to only close friends and family, there were still a lot of celebrities present, such as Du Chun and Ying’er, who served as a groomsman and a bridesmaid. Other attendees included Jeff Bao Jianfeng, Shen Tai, and YOYO.

Check out the collection of pictures (taken by Z&L Studio) behind the cut, including this absolutely precious photo of Yan Kuan tearing up when addressing his princess, whom he called “the best gift that Heaven has bestowed upon me”:

Tong Liya, Chen Sicheng will marry next week, Yang Mi, Hawick Lau married in Bali

And like this, yet another one of C-entertainment’s golden couples decides to take their relationship to the next level. Chen Sicheng, who was born in the year of the horse, told the media that he would “马上” (literally, “on the horse,”; more commonly translated as “immediately”) marry his goddess (Tong Liya). (What’s more, he’s also rumored to have hinted at a “having the next generation during the year of the horse”). They will be married in Taihiti on January 16. (1). A few couple pictures below the cut.

Meanwhile, their co-star from Beijing Love Story Yang Mi recently held her wedding ceremony with Hawick Lau in Bali. A few pictures below the cut; you can find more pictures here. Tang Yan was their only media star attendee (as they wanted to keep the event low key), though Hawick’s actor father was also present. Yang Mi teared up during the ceremony; best of luck to them all!

The real deal, this time around.

Finally admitting that Liu Shishi is taken, Yang Mi accepts Hawick Lau’s proposal.

What’s with this week and celebrities announcing relationship advancements!   Anyways, congrats and best of luck to all the couples!

Hawick Lau: “Hold thy hands and grow old with thee.” I can finally understand the beauty of this sentence;  just want to say, in the future, let us walk the paths of life together; if you’re tired, come near and I’ll carry you on my back slowly. Thank you for willing to give your hand to me! Thank our parents for placing infinite trust in me! Thanks for everyone’s blessings! 2014, Jan. 08, on this special day we’ll hold our wedding. The little sprouts have finally grown up // Yang Mi: Things are like this ~ Everyone can bless us now~ haha @Hawick Lau

Weibo Wednesday: September 18, 2013

The big news these past two weeks was obviously Faye Wong and Li Yapeng‘s divorce, a topic that continues to trend on Weibo. I don’t have much to say about it, except that I was not expecting it at all. But even a divorce can’t cover up the happiness of marriage, and we were lucky to get not one, but TWO celebrity weddings in the first half of September!

First up are actor He Ziming and Super Girl He Jie, who wowed us with their proposal, their wedding photoshoot, and now their actual wedding ceremony. The two of them tied the knot on September 12th, and their wedding photos are absolutely gorgeous. Check out these two photosets, courtesy of Nice Wedding, for some ideas for your own wedding! ;)

Today, we happily got married! After we came down, friends asked me if I was tired. To tell the truth, I was so happy that I’d forgotten everything else. The two people who went through the most difficulties these past two months actually wasn’t us, but all of the employees and our friends in the media. On behalf of me and my wife, we thank everyone, as well as the friends who could and couldn’t make it! Thank you all for your blessings, because only with you as your witnesses could our wedding seem especially meaningful! In short, engraved in my memory and heart, thank you.
