Till The End of the Moon 长月烬明 is an upcoming fantasy xianxia romance drama, and stars Luo Yunxi, Bai Lu, Chen Duling and Deng Wei in the lead roles. These are the prettiest posters I’ve seen in a long while, and it seems like the art team got their inspiration from Buddhist Art from the Mogao Caves.
Luo Yunxi plays the sociopathic Tantai Jin, a hostage prince whose ability to feel emotions is inhibited due to the existence of an ‘evil bone’. Because of this, he is destined to become the Demon God, and will eventually become the xianxia world’s greatest nemesis. Bai Lu costars as his love interest Li Susu, a disciple from the future who takes over the body of the hero’s wife Ye Xiwu. After much difficulty, she manages to remove Tantai Jin’s evil bone, and successfully returns to her own world by jumping off a city wall. From memory, this is the fourth drama that’s used this exact trope: (1), (2), (3)
500 years later, a grief-stricken Tantai Jin is saved by a cultivation sect, and is determined to put his demonic past behind him. However, he is unable to escape his destiny, and decides to sacrifice everything for the peace of the world.
The drama is produced by the team behind the yet-to-air Immortality, and is directed by Ju Jueliang (Ice Fantasy, General and I).

“Bai Lu costars as his love interest Li Susu, a disciple from the future who takes over the body of the hero’s wife Ye Bingtang.”
*typo here, his mortal wife’s name is ye xiwu
SUPERRR STOKED for this release. would also strongly recommend reading the original novel, pretty good, binged through it in 2 days when i found out around 1 month ago that leo is taking this project
Corrected. :) I actually read the start of the novel when it first came out, and unfortunately only enjoyed the Mingye X Sangjiu subplot – I do not understand how the leads even fell in love with each other. Hopefully the drama is able to smooth over the bumps.
