Maybe this drama will have a better-than-average (in accuracy) depiction of a profession in cdramas?
From the trailer, I wouldn’t hold my breath. In a real emergency ward setting, would you see a female doctor with hair falling all over her face? Or a doctor who has the time to sit by the bedside of a patient while he sleeps?
I think everyone has a pretty stereotyped impression of doctors too. Yes, they can have pretty hairs that fall into their eyes, and yes they can have time to sit by the bedside too. They are busy but not EVERY SINGLE MINUTE of the day. Just my 2cents from someone in the profession as well.
Haha. Not stereotype, but the norm. In my country, everyone who works with patients and samples, whether in public or private hospitals, especially those in the ER unit must practise utmost hygiene protocol. That includes not having hair or dandruff falling onto patients or samples. It is not just for professional image reasons. As for whether doctors in public hospitals (which is the setting of this drama) have loads of free time, well, I guess that depends on the particular hospital. I have a few family members in the hospitals and clinics as well.
Anyway, enjoy the drama without expectations of a realistic depiction of the profession and all will be well. The profession is only a backdrop to the romance story.
“….with different values, yet eventually learn to overcome their differences and fall in love.”
This is such an overly repetitive storyline in modern c-dramas. So boring!
