Republican drama Silk Road Treasure 大昆仑之丝路宝藏 stars Yan Yikuan as Mu Tianshu (Yang Xu), who returns to the Western regions to find out the truth behind the death of a respected uncle and his family. While there, he also helps protect precious artefacts from being stolen by Japanese bandits.

Qiao Zhenyu (Reunion: The Sound of the Providence) plays the morally ambiguous Qiu Shiguang, while Hu Lianxin and Dong Xuan (Secret of the Three Kingdoms) probably play the male leads’ love interests.

The Tencent-produced series is directed by Pan Jingchen (Faceoff).
