Impasse 悬崖之上 stars Zhang Yi, Yu Hewei, Qin Hailu, Zhu Yawen, Ni Dahong and new actress Liu Haocun, and follows the escape journey of a group of CCP agents who have obtained proof the Japanese are conducting unethical human experiments.

The film is written by the source novel author Quan Yongxian. Zhang Yimou’s been churning out films non-stop since last year – he’s got this as well as Under the Light up for release, while One Second, a film set during the Cultural Revolution, is still making rounds in the censorship department.
