I think it’s more to do with the unofficial ban on Zhao Lixin after he posted about a politically sensitive issue. He’s the show’s main antagonist, but if the producers intend to replace him using AI (like Tangde did with Fan Bingbing/Gao Yixiang’s Win the World) then it would be a pretty smart promo move to release it along with Mulan.
