According to Sina, 35-year-old actor and model Godfrey Gao (The Gravity of a Rainbow, We Are All Alone) has passed away in hospital after collapsing on the set of Zhejiang TV variety show Chase Me.

Known for his acting, he starred in hit dramas SOP Queen and God of War, Zhao Yun, before getting his big break with Remembering Lichuan.

Update: Godfrey’s management agency Jetstar has released a statement on Weibo confirming the actor’s passing.
