Animated feature White Snake is finally getting its North American release date. The film, a loose prequel to popular legend The Legend of the White Snake, opens in LA on November 15th and in select U.S. theaters on Nov. 29.

Of the 32 films submitted for the Best Animated Feature category for the 92nd Academy Awards, a record number for Chinese animated features were submitted this year, including White Snake, Ne Zha, and Abominable, perhaps laying testament to the growing industry.
