Growing Pain 少年派 revolves around the relationship between three sets of families that each have a different set of issues. Zhang Jiayi and Yan Ni star as the worried parents of a high school student (Zhao Jinmai) who constantly scores below average grades.

The second family features the typical ‘top student’ (Guo Junchen) and his controlling parents who want to be involved in every aspect of his life. The third family consists of parents who provide their daughter (Wang Yuwen) with material rewards but are lacking in the affection department.

Directed by Liu Huining and scripted by Liuliu and Jiumeiyu, writers of Women Must Be Stronger, the 41 episode drama is scheduled to air on Hunan TV some time this year.
