Guardian is an upcoming supernatural mystery web drama starring Bai Yu (Memory Lost) as the leader of the special investigations unit and Zhu Yilong (Border Town Prodigal) as a coldly logical professor who is later revealed to be the black robe messenger. Though BL (boy love) story lines are banned in drama land, at least the show is still giving us a healthy dose of brotherly love.

The pair will work together to untangle the mystery that started with a promise made tens of thousands of years ago. Directed by Zhou Yuanzhou (Noble Aspirations) and scripted by new writer Ye Fangzhou, Guardian will premiere on Youku sometime this year.
