Ni Ni promotes her upcoming Wuxia comedy, the Thousand Faces of Dunjia 奇门遁甲, with yet another stunning photoshoot with photographer Sun Jun, this time combining Baroque interior design with Wuxia-inspired looks.

  1. This is gorgeous but I feel like it’s a bit of a stretch to call it wuxia. Say what you want about Liu Yifei but both of her photoshoots evoked the right feel. This falls a little short – like calling a photoshoot Christmas themed just because there’s a lot of red.
I still like it though. That first one had me swooning.

  2. I was genuinely wondering where the wuxia was happening, right up until those knuckles. Then I noticed there was an arrow rather than another cane, so there’s that. I’m just a little weirded out when photographers (?) toss in a bit of incongruous weaponry and call it wuxia.
